Modified on Wed, 24 Jun at 3:48 PM

Add funds to your Wirex One USD or EUR account instantly with any Visa or Mastercard.

Save your card once and top up in seconds.

Adding a new card

1

Tap AddDebit or Credit Card.

2

Tap Add New Card and enter your details:

  • Card number — Visa or Mastercard only
  • Expiry date
  • Billing address (pre-filled from your profile; edit if needed)
3

Tap Continue.

4

Enter the amount. Switch between your USD and EUR accounts by tapping the currency icon.

5

Tap Add Funds and complete 3D Secure if prompted by your bank.

Your balance updates immediately on success.

Using a saved card

Tap AddDebit or Credit Card, select your card, enter the amount, and confirm. Switch between saved cards directly on the amount screen.

Managing your saved cards

  • Cards are saved automatically when added.
  • Remove a card by swiping left and confirming.
  • Up to 5 cards can be saved at once.

Processing time

  • Card Deposits — usually instant, though processing time may vary depending on your bank.
Important: As soon as a deposit is triggered, it appears in your Activity with an amount and an amber status — so you always know something is on its way. Tap the transaction, then tap More to expand the full status timeline and see exactly where your funds are in the process.

Once the deposit is complete, the amount updates automatically and the status moves to final. If a payment is rejected at any stage, the timeline shows precisely where and why it was declined — so there's never any guesswork.

FAQ

Which cards are accepted?
Visa and Mastercard — both debit and credit. Prepaid cards and American Express are not supported.
Can I choose which account to top up?
Yes — tap the currency icon on the amount screen to switch between your USD and EUR accounts.
Is it safe to save my card?
Absolutely. Card details are encrypted and processed through our certified payment provider. Wirex One never stores your full card number.
What limits apply?
Wirex One does not impose any transfer limits. Any limits that apply are set by the payment network and will be shown in the app before you confirm.
Why do I need to complete 3D Secure?
It's an additional security step from your card issuer to confirm the payment is authorised by you — typically a one-time code sent by your bank.
My card was declined — what should I do?
See Why Was My Card Top-Up Declined? for a full breakdown.
My transfer hasn't arrived — what now?
Track your deposit status in real time directly in your Activity — tap the transaction and select More to see the full status timeline. Confirm with your bank that the transfer was sent and obtain the payment reference. Then reach out to Wirex One support — we'll look into it straight away.
What does the amber status mean?
Amber indicates the transaction is currently being processed. Once the funds arrive, the status will update to final automatically.
How do I check the detailed status of my deposit?
Tap the transaction in your Activity, then tap More to expand the full status timeline — you'll see every stage of the payment process in real time.
What should I do if my payment was rejected?
Check the status timeline — it will show exactly at which stage and by which party the payment was declined. If the reason is unclear, contact Wirex One support with your transaction reference.
