How to Send Crypto (Onchain Transfer)

Modified on Tue, 23 Jun at 3:10 PM

Send USD or EUR from your Wirex One account directly to any external wallet or exchange. Funds are sent onchain at a 1:1 rate — no conversion fee, no spread.

How it works

Send stablecoins directly from your Wirex One account to any external wallet.

  • USD account → USD-based stablecoins at 1:1
  • EUR account → EUR-based stablecoins at 1:1

No conversion fee. No spread.

Only supported stablecoins can be sent onchain. Verification is not required for onchain transfers.

How to send

  1. Tap Send on the Dashboard or Account screen.
  2. Select Onchain Transfer.
  3. Select your token (USDC, USDT, or EURC).
  4. Select or add a recipient:
    • Label — a nickname for this wallet
    • Wallet address
    • Network
    • Memo (if required by the network)
  5. Tap Continue.
  6. Enter the amount. The account is fixed based on the token selected — you cannot change it on this screen.
  7. Review the full breakdown including network fees.
  8. Tap Confirm to send.

The transfer appears in your Activity immediately.

Transfer times

Transfer time depends on the network and current blockchain activity.

Important: For complete visibility into every transfer, simply tap the transaction in your Activity and select More to view the full status timeline.

From the moment a transfer is initiated, it appears in your Activity with an amber status — updating automatically at every stage, from Payment Scheduled through to Sent to Recipient's Account.

Should a transfer be delayed, failed, or rejected at any point, the timeline reflects this instantly — showing exactly where and why, so you're always in control.

FAQ

Do I need to verify my account?
No — onchain transfers do not require account verification.
Can I change the account I send from?
No — the account is determined by the token you select. USDC/USDT sends from your USD account; EURC sends from your EUR account.
What is a Memo?
Some networks (such as XRP or Stellar) require a Memo in addition to the wallet address to route the transfer correctly. Always include it if the recipient provides one — omitting it can result in lost funds.
Is there a fee?
Network fees apply and are shown on the Review screen before you confirm.
What limits apply?
Minimum and maximum transfer amounts may apply and are shown in the app at the time of transfer.
Can I send to any wallet or exchange?
Yes — any wallet or exchange that supports the selected token and network. Always verify the address and network before confirming.
Why does my transfer show an amber status?
Amber indicates the transfer is currently being processed. The status updates automatically at each stage until the transfer is complete.
How do I check the detailed status of my transfer?
Tap the transaction in your Activity, then tap More to expand the full status timeline — you'll see every stage in real time.
What stages does a transfer go through?
Once initiated, a transfer moves through the following stages: Payment Scheduled → Funds Deducted from Wallet → Transfer Confirmed → Sent to Recipient's Account.
What does it mean if my transfer failed?
The status timeline will show exactly at which stage the transfer failed. Check the reason shown and retry with the correct details, or contact Wirex One support if the issue is unclear.
What does it mean if my transfer was rejected?
A rejection can occur at any stage — on Wirex's side or the recipient's bank. The timeline will indicate where the rejection happened, making it easier to understand next steps.
Will I be notified when my transfer is complete?
Your Activity updates automatically once the transfer reaches its final status. Tap the transaction at any time to see the latest stage.
My transfer is confirmed onchain but the recipient hasn't received it.
Share the transaction hash (TXID) with the recipient so they can check the status on a blockchain explorer. If the issue persists, contact Wirex support.
Can I cancel an onchain transfer?
No — blockchain transactions are irreversible once broadcast. Always double-check the address, network, and Memo before confirming.
