How cashback works

Every eligible card transaction earns cashback in USD — not in crypto, not in tokens. Cashback accrues automatically with no action required on your part.

Cashback rates by tier

The rate applied to a transaction is determined by the tier you hold at the time of the transaction. If your tier changes after a transaction has settled, cashback already credited is not adjusted.

Cashback is credited to your Rewards balance once a transaction has fully settled. Settlement may take a short period after a transaction completes.

Which transactions earn cashback

Cashback is earned on eligible card purchases. Not all transactions qualify — the sections below set out what is excluded.

Transactions not eligible for cashback

The following transaction types do not earn cashback:

• ATM withdrawals. Cash withdrawals made with your Wirex One card at ATMs or over the counter at financial institutions are not eligible.
• Cash advances. Cash advance transactions at banks or other financial institutions are not eligible.
• Crypto purchases. Transactions used to purchase cryptocurrency via your Wirex One card are not eligible.
• Gambling transactions. Any transaction made at a gambling establishment — including casinos and online gambling platforms — is not eligible.
• Refunded or cancelled transactions. If a transaction is refunded, cancelled, or returned, any cashback associated with it will not be credited or will be reversed.

Merchant Category Codes excluded from cashback

Cashback is not paid on transactions processed under the following Merchant Category Codes (MCC):
