We've designed the onboarding experience so that getting started with Wirex One feels effortless. Signing up takes just a few minutes, and from the moment you're in, the full flexibility of next generation banking is right at your fingertips.

How to create your account

  1. Open the Wirex One app.
  2. Tap Sign Up.
  3. Enter your email address and tap Continue.
  4. Enter the verification code sent to your email.

Setting up your authentication method

Before you access the app, you'll be asked to set up an authentication method. This is a mandatory step ensuring your identity is secure and your assets are protected.

Passkey (recommended)

Passkey uses your device's biometrics — Face ID or fingerprint — to authenticate you instantly. No codes, no manual entry. It is the fastest and most seamless way to access your account, and the one we recommend.

To set up Passkey, tap Use Face ID or fingerprint and follow the prompt on your device.

Authenticator App

If your device doesn't support biometrics, or you'd prefer a manual option, you can use an authenticator app instead. This generates a time-based code you'll enter each time.

To set it up, tap Enter code manually, scan the QR code with your authenticator app, then enter the 6-digit code to confirm.

Passkey is the smoother experience. If your device supports it, we recommend going with that.

FAQ

I already have a Wirex account. Can I use Wirex One?
Yes. If you're an existing Wirex user, you may be eligible to migrate your account to Wirex One. See our migration guide for full details on how it works and whether it's available to you.
I didn't receive my verification code. What should I do?
Check your spam or junk folder first — occasionally verification emails land there. If it's not there either, tap Resend code in the app and a new one will be sent to you. Make sure the email address you entered is correct before resending.
What is a Passkey?
A Passkey is a modern authentication method that uses your device's biometrics — Face ID or fingerprint — to verify your identity. Instead of entering a code each time you log in, your device does the work for you. It's more secure than a traditional password and significantly faster to use.
Can I switch between Passkey and Authenticator App?
Yes. You can set up both methods on your account, and we actually encourage it. If you use Passkey as your primary method, setting up an Authenticator App as a backup is a good idea — and vice versa. You can manage your authentication methods in your account settings.
Can I have more than one Wirex One account?
No. Each person can hold one Wirex One account.
Can I use Wirex One on multiple devices?
Yes. Your Wirex One account can be accessed from multiple devices. Keep in mind that Passkeys are device-specific — if you set up a Passkey on one device, it won't automatically carry over to another. You'll need to set up a Passkey separately on each device you use, or use your Authenticator App as an alternative when switching devices.
