Why is my transaction still pending?

Modified on Tue, 23 Jun at 2:24 PM

A Pending status means your transaction has been initiated but hasn't fully processed yet. This is normal — here's what to check and when to act.

Track your transaction status

For complete visibility, tap the transaction in your Activity and select More to view the full status timeline — it updates automatically at every stage.

Common reasons for a pending status

Awaiting network confirmations

Onchain transactions require a minimum number of confirmations before being credited. This varies by network and current blockchain activity. Most transactions complete within minutes.

Network congestion

During periods of high blockchain activity, transactions can take longer to confirm. This is outside Wirex One's control — the transaction will complete once the network processes it.

Exchange processing

Buy, Sell, and Move transactions may briefly show as Pending while the exchange is being executed. This typically resolves within seconds to a few minutes.

FAQ

Can I cancel a pending transaction?
For onchain transactions — no. Once broadcast to the network, they cannot be cancelled. For bank transfers, contact Wirex One support as soon as possible — we may be able to assist depending on the status.
My transaction has been pending for longer than expected — what do I do?
Check the status timeline in Activity for any updates. If it exceeds the expected timeframe, contact Wirex One support with your transaction reference or TXID.
Can a pending transaction fail?
Yes — if a transaction cannot be completed, it will show as Failed or Rejected in your Activity timeline, with the reason shown at the relevant stage.
